Submit Your Abstracts For Biobanking’s Biggest Conference!
The deadline for abstract submission for the biggest biobanking event in Africa has been extended – so get your abstracts in for the GGBN / ISBER Joint Biobanking Conference 2025 by 31 July 2025 and share your biobanking insights with the world.
The conference, a joint effort by the Global Genome Biodiversity Network (GGBN), International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER), will be held at the spectacular Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Cape Town, South Africa, from 29 September – 3 October 2025.
With this year’s conference theme, “Where worlds align: biodiversity and human biobanks. Same, but different”, we’re bringing together experts in human and biodiversity biobanking to talk shop, share solutions and discuss future efforts.

Do you have anything you’d like to share about:
- Human, animal, botanical and microbial biobanking
- Data and database challenges
- Accreditation and credentialing
- Big data, innovation and AI in biobanking
- Best practices, standards and sustainability?
If you’d like to talk about any of those topics (and more) we’d love to hear from you!
Keen to contribute? Submit your abstracts by 31 July 2025.
Or just want to join the fun? Early bird registration is open until 14 July 2025 – get in early and beat the crowds!
